Default Need Advice, New to Diesel

I have a 1989 F superduty with a banks aftermarket turbo.5 spd 4x4. I have given up on getting it to run right, lot's of $$$$$$$ and sweat I have found a 1991 7.3 with 10k on it, comes with transfer, new clutch, and a good 5 spd.also the harness. Will this bolt in or is it worth the trouble. The truck is a rust free dually, the used 7.3 is $1k for the whole setup. Will my banks turbo fit the new setup? Help Should mention the turbo was rebuilt $500, New lines, injectors, did buy the german return line kit on Ebay, big mistake, within a week the rubber under the braiding had pin hole leaks, rubber was old and no good, also the rear main seal just let go, leaks about a gallon a minute. Always been a gas mechanic, racing, etc. Is this the deisel from hell?
