Wow, sorry to hear that you hurt your back. I hope you are doing better. It's been too hot and humid here to work on my truck for the last couple of weeks.
How did you hurt your back?
If you did it picking up fat chicks you should know better.

no fat chicks in my stable mate.
did it humping parts and machione tools-i wrecked the spine years ago moto-x/road racing and skateboarding...all in the name of fun.
went to race lusty old brit bikes in france-great trip.
then to chill in tenerife for my birthday-this was where i hurt my back again-less said about drunken fun the better.

cut some restraints to stop the props climbing through the thin floor if they ever let go-
started mocking up the cold side ram air feed to turbo-
made some restraints to prevent engine from entering cab in case of upside down time or front or reat impact-
the props covers were made from a c02 bottle-suitably hacked and welded-

the cold side air feed will have the first 2 foot made in stainless or wrapped in kevlar ,as it sits fairly close to the end of the exhaust manifold-
initially i planned to run the exhaust out the bonnet like a puller truck, and i will be doing it this way,but i have run the cold air over to the other side-so if i do need to go sensible on the exhaust -i have the room.
here is the pedal box from the unimog-its going in the dodge.

PJ,
It's great to see that your back at it. I was only kidding about the fat chicks. Happy Birthday brother. I bet vacation in the Canary Islands was great.
Those are a couple a great looking bikes in post #104. In post #106 the forth picture, is that a new cylinder for the tipper?
The gas cylinder makes a great scatter shield for the propeller shafts. That is some excellent looking fab work. I've used the cable tie down method before on a GM 454 LS6, it had a tendency to break engine mounts shifting to 3rd gear.

thanks bert, racing the old brits at over 120mph was a gas-until it rained.
the big ram is from a caterpillar, and is way over the top,the tipper is proving to be uber tough to get the right parts-i think i have the right guy on the job now.
also i finally found some fat wheels and tyres for sensible money-it,s a 600 mile drive, but it,s to scotland, where i have a few mates, and will come home with some good grog.i will be paing less for 5 wheels and tyres than the damn frenchman wanted for one-
will be quiet for a few days as im gathering parts and no internet while im nomad...thanks for the support-it helps get urrr done
