Default 85 K5 Diesel SWAP 6.5

Im putting a 6.5 into my 85 k5 with a current 305 in it. I am wanting to know what all I will need exactly to pull this off. I have an automatic stock trans in it. Not sure what it is exactly. An what are some ways i could get as much power as possible out of the 6.5

Different torque converter, fuel system or modify it, motor mounts from a diesel burban or pickup, shorten or lengthen drive shafts, not sure if the 6.5 was intercooled but if it was you would need one of those, different radiator im sure that 305 one is pretty small, and figure out the glow plugs. Probably missing a few things. Also from what Ive heard you cant get very much power out of a 6.5, you can actually get about the same from a 4bt. good luck

You need the torque converter, radiator, oil cooler lines, and a relay to run the glow plugs. Motor mounts, fuel system up to the engine, and drive shafts are all the same. Its pretty simple swap you pull the gasser out and put the diesel in. Take the hot wire to the distributer and plug it to the shutoff solenoid on the injection pump. Turn the injection pump up, turn the turbo up or replace it with a better one, and put better injectors in it. You can easily get over 300 hp with it. Heath diesel has one making over 500hp.

If you go with the cummins, you might as well ditch your stock tranny, it wont live. If you don't have them already, an axle swap as well.....money, money, money
