Hey guys, a buddy of mine is putting a 1991 7.3 IDI engine into a 1976 ford f-150 4x4. He needs the motor mounts and he can buy a new set but I want to know if we are gona have to do any frame mods to get the stock 91 motor mounts to fit or will they bolt right up? I dont know how much they changed the frame from 76 to 91. Thanks

 

The frames are different enough that some custom fab work will be needed. I think that the front crossmember is different too. Its a pretty tight fit in there too. Had a friend's buddy put a 7.3 idi in a 70-something F-250 4x4. Not sure how it turned out though.
