FWD 4.3L V6 into a 4WD Cherokee
Only minor ones.
Got the 4.56 rear end in it (11%-12% lower) and stepped up to a set of 31" tires on aluminum wheels (8%-9% bigger) for a net of gain of 3%-4% gearing reduction. I'm still debating whether to go to the 4.88 rear gears, which with the 31"s would net me about an 11% reduction over the original 4.10 gears and 235/85/15 tires.
Got the rear driveline rebalanced - no more driveline vibrations on the highway - all the way up to 80 mph.
Made some minor progress on getting the interior put back together.
I've run 2 full tanks of fuel through it commuting to and from work. Average fuel economy so far is right at 21 - 22 mpg. While that may not sound like much, its at least 4 mpg better than I've ever got with a Cherokee burning gasoline, and about even with my old MB. Not to mention that its now using home brewed BIO at $1.50/gal - vs. gasoline at $3.80/gal

Yup, still NA for now, and I hope (and expect) you're right on both counts...
Its looking like that may be the weekend of December 10-11. Now I just have to convince my wife to trust it for hauling the whole family for a trip that long...
Hey FTE, where are you gonna be next Thursday 11/17/11?
I just found out last night that I have to attend a work-related training session in Portland from around 10 AM until noon or maybe a little later that day.
Thought that since I was going to be in the area driving my Jeep anyway, if you're around, maybe we could get together then.
Just let me kow...

Now I find out that my training session has been extended 2 hours until 2:30 PM.
I still should be able to make it back over to your place by 3-ish - though it may work out better to get together Friday sometime (I'm spending the night at my buddy's place in Washougal) - that way you won't be so rushed getting ready to go to work.
Let me know what you think...
