Default Mercedes OM617 to 700R4 adapter plates?!

posted about a year or so ago looking for anyone that made adapter plates to run the Mercedes diesels to a Chevy auto transmission, 700r4, TH400 or other.. is there a company out there making these kits? If not I was thinking about building a few!

I am currently making my own adapter for the 700r4 V8 bolt pattern. The company making the kit is for the 2.8 V6 bolt pattern, those trans are weaker so thats why I went with the other trans (plus 1K is a little stiff for my budget). I have the t-conv adapter/pilot machined, and making the bell adapter now. My trans has a 12 in conv instead of the 11 in , a little tight but will work fine. Once I fabbed all the fixtures to line up the centering points, the adapters go real easy.

Damn for $1000 bucks ya'd think they could make their website a little nicer ha. Lemme know how yours turns out. The local junkyard just got a couple of those mercs in so I'm thinkin I'm gonna go grab a motor and start doing some machining.

I've got an adaptor plate, mini high torque starter, crank adaptor, and flex plate for an om617 to 700r4 for sale. Paid 750.00 for the kit from transmission adaptors.com. I put the Benz in a full size chevy truck and it was a great 200 miles until I blew an oil line and the motor locked up. Money is tight so I Gotta put the old 350 back in it. If anyone's interested in the kit let me know. Asking half price!

This is what I have, well made kit. Koch said theirs wouldnt work if the 700r came from behind a 4.3 V6, but Bendtsons will. I believe Koch is coming out with one that will soon. Got my oil pan from them.
