Mount the gen-set in the box, then stick a traction motor (DC electric motor) under the hood. Will have you the first diesel-electric vehicle.

well you say youre dreaming but I saw on dieselpowermags site that someone put a 14L Cummins in a F150 I think. It was crazy looking but Im sure it sounded like a purring beast.
