rotary or p-pump???
okay guys, here what im doin. swappin a cummins into my ford. so far not so bad findin info and parts. now is the critical part, which 12v rotary or p-pump. i tow(alot) about 16k with this truck. its my daily driver and basically do all rig. i have read about the p-pumps qand how easy it is to get power. also have read about the rotary's and how easy to turn them up. im shootin for 300-350 hp and decent mpg's. i have a e4od that i will rebuild to handle the power. just not sure wich moptor is easier to get power i want.

I don't understand. If all he wants 300-350 hp for a DD/tow rig (and will probably doesn't need to run over 3k RPM), what advantage is the P7100 going to give? The VE starts quicker, has more low end torque, has dynamic timing, and fuel mileage is usually a tad bit better with them.
I'm not knocking the p-pump, I searched hard for one, but my truck will eventually be at 5-600hp; it suits my goals better.

either will get you what you need and I think you can get the p pump to start just as good as the ve
its all in the heads before I had my head gasket go out on my p pump it would start hard the guy that did my head work really understood how to grind valves on a diesel and now it starts as good or better than our 91 ve
