I think it's closer to 800, according to the Cummins literature.

i copied this from another site....

I contacted Cummins for more information on the 4BT and was told that many commercial customers and independent shops have used this Cummins engine. The 4BT 3.9 engine is rated at 120+ hp @ 2500 rpm with peak torque of 327 lb-ft @ 1700 rpm. The engine weighs 570 pounds (dry). The 4BT 3.9 engine dimensions are...:

Total height: 30.6 inches

Total length: 30.1 inches

Total width: 22.9 inches

The 6bt's aren't that heavy. More like 950-1000lbs without accessories but with pump and turbo.

Glad I had been told wrong! My 'conversion' truck was already heavy enough! . . . LOL

You can expect near 800 lbs wet and loaded w/ all accessories on.....

Mine came in at 783lbs I believe when I weight it at work before going to the dyno. (To really see what airbags I needed to run up front)

Fun and easy little motors to work on that will pull a big block like a toy in the torque department........ weight wise I never worried about.... I'm gonna be really tipping the scales no matter what I do.
