i got a k2500 6.5 diesel truck i got rid of that garbage motor and got my cummins package already in it this week. but i got a question about the chevy hydroboost.

whats the easiest way to hook up the hydroboost? or is it easier just to use the brake booster from the cummins truck. or should i go to a normal chevy booster or what? any ideas.

any help is appreciated. thanks

well i figured out the hydroboost problem. now im stuck on how to make the speedometer work. anyone know?

also having problems with the starter hitting the front differential. motor mounts came from autoworld so everything should be ok there. ive ground off the top rib of the differential and it is still hitting/ any ideas?

 

What did u do for the hydroboost? I am working on a '97 Tahoe right now with an '89 cummins but the Tahoe has a booster so the brakes will work out. Using the autoworld motormounts also, but body is off right now so just hoping the engine placement is right. We are using 2.5 ton axles so can't help with the starter and diff problem. ALso got the alternator and a/c brackets coming soon too. Sorry not much help, not using the speedo either. Which tranny are u running? I know they have one for a cable speedo to an electric speedo using both chevys, but not sure if they will have a conversion item like that. Check out destroked.com also for a speedo solution.

 

im using the stock dodge traansmission that it came with. i figured out all of my clearance problems i just decided to straight axle it. i was able to make the hydroboost work with some t's and nipples and what not. ill check out that website hopefully i can find somehting. if not itll be going to my buddies dads speedo shop
