Welcome to db
Moved to Diesel conversions

I was going to do this in my 79 and was just going to get the chevy adapter for the 5.9 and bolt it to the TH400.

I'd like to drop a 6bt in my 78 K20 but the adapter from Advance to mate my Sm465 to the cummins is quite pricy so if I were to do it I'd just run the NV4500

Unless you are building a 600 hp+ truck, I believe a TH400 would do well.

It's funny you say that because I have burned up more NV 4500's than th400's in Cummins converted Chevys.
