93' chevy 3500 cummins swap
Hey guys I've got a perfectly good 3500 chevy with a blown 6.5l turbo and a the factory five speed. I am wondering if I can hook a 12v cummins to the factory manual trans, or if I need an adapter where can I get one. I'm almost sure that my trans. is an NV4500?

for drivetrain you need a cummins input shaft and a cummins bellhousing, both interchange between any nv4500s. If you want bolt on parts, Auto World is the place to go. Fabrication can be and has been done many ways. Just a lot of time with a tape measure.
I'm assuming its a 4x4, I think you might need a different front driveline because the stocker will be too short.
Basically, there's a lot of different ways to do it. The autoworld stuff will basically bolt up and work without too much fiddling on your part.
Another tidbit is a lot of people put a body lift on for more room to work with, but it has been done without. I can't help much with clearances because I stripped the front of my truck to the frame rails and designed the suspension and engine mounting together. There are a few people that have done the swap on here, and once you go through it you know your setup inside and out. If you need a "How did you make this part work?" there are plenty of people to help you out and have a straightforward answer.
