Your kinda working backwards on the build there buddy. If you just bought a V-10 truck to convert thinking you were gonna save money then back that steam boat up....you will spend more money on the convertion and take more time to get things right. for thousands less you can buy a early 03-04 cummins 2500 to mod. Good luck

I've heard from local shops to stay clear of 03 and early 04 CR, not sure why, they seem to have some bugs in the fuel system. 89-93 12v need one 12 volt hot to the pump, no ECU and the 94-98.5 12v need three wires to the pump, no ECU. Whatever you pic you'll find all the info on this site. You can also check out fordcummins and destroked, they specialize in ford repowers but also have some chev info

FordCummins recommends staying with the 03-early 04 CR and not going with the 04.5-07 HO 5.9.

Just goin on what the pros tell me. I have 3 fordcummins manuals and did't see anything about that, probably a wiring thing though

Yeah Im not saying either way is the way to go, I really dont know. I think it was a wiring issue its supposed to be a lot easier on the earlier common rails.
