Default Common Rail Swap Into A '99

So i know this sounds dumb but i want to be the first person i know to drop a 610 common rail Cummins into a older (1999) dodge ram. I wanna know if anyone else thinks this is a good idea or if its just dumb and i should trade on a newer truck to make things easier on myself? Yesterday I bought a 99 Dodge Ram V10 reg cab long bed 2500 4wd and I want to yank that gas pot out and throw it off a cliff and drop in my full race motor and see what kind of hp and tq i can make. Let me know!

The cool thing about the CR is that you can build a 15.1 comp engine, still drive it on the street and Make 1000 Hp with the right combo. Just turn her down and cruise around town. There are a bunch of high Hp Cr trucks that get drove everyday. I say go for it. There is a guy on the other forums that goes by Triton I believe. I think Schieds built his motor. Maroon/Red Mega cab truck.

If I can find one at a decent price its going into my burb. I want a nice tow and daily driver that will flat out move if I want it to.
