Default Kukje Engine Swap

Good afternoon all,

I am about to embark on a journey I have never attempted before and I wanted to see if I could get any advice, pointers etc.
I will start by saying I am a relatively experienced "car guy" I was an ASE tech for a number of years and have built many cars and trucks - but all have been gas powered. I have done a fair amount of fab ( I have a 52 ****** pickup mounted on a early 90's Suburban frame with FI 383, PS, AC, ETC and a 65 Scout on a custom frame with the same driveline except it is 4WD) BUT :-) I have never built anything diesel.

I have an Isuzu Trooper II that blew the engine (PO -before I drug it home) and I have a brand new 40 ish HP complete A2400T diesel engine on a pallet in my garage. So - I am thinking about merging these two things and wondering how to best start this process. The engine was meant for a stationary piece of equipment and has no throttle control as it was meant to run at a constant speed - so I need to sort that out. I dont have any idea what I would do for a transmission or if I could somehow make the Isuzu trans mount to the diesel --- I can find very little data on these engines other than they are commonly available in Branson tractors. (they are mechanical- so no ecu required. Mine came with starter, alternator, turbo ---everything)

Any thoughts are welcome and thanks for reading my wandering thoughts.
