I already made a post in the IDI section but then realized it should be here. I bought an 05' Expy with plans to drop a 89' 7.3 in. Rebuilt the trans and did cops and plugs and now my wife has hijacked it! cool In her defense I got it from the original owner and it runs/drives great. So I'm bidding on an 08' with bad engine. Overall size of 5.4 and 7.3 very similar, with a 300lb weight gain with the diesel. The 5.4 motor mounts will be an easy swap to the 7.3 with 1/8 inch plate. I am going to follow the fummins guys lead in using the 5.4 sensors to make the gauges work. The main thing I am trying to work out now is transferring the mod motor bellhousing pattern to the IDI trans adapter. The adapter has plenty of meat for drill and tapping and the torque converters have the same bolt spacing and hub diameter. Where can I find drawings of the two bellhousings to overlay?
