Is this a tractor engine? There is a conversion company near Warner Robbins, Ga. that does these, but I can't find their name. They may be able to help.

The more information you provide, the more likely somebody can help.

What transmission used to be attached to this Perkins? What is this engine out of? Does it have an SAE flywheel housing? If so, measure it with a tape measure... what is the diameter? What model of Perkins engine is this?

Can you post some photos so we can see what the flywheel housing and flywheel/flexplate look like? And some photos of the engine?

I assume this truck has a Turbo 400 or similar?

The only info I have about the engine is that it came from a Canadian Truck. No transmission came with it. I want to bolt it up to the Chevy 400 Transmission. I will take pic's of it and post in a few days. Cheers !!

I think there were some 70's era Dodge pickups that came from the factory with a Perkins engine. Pretty rare I think. Also I remember seeing a Renault cabover medium-duty truck with a Perkins. Similar in size to the Isuzu NPR trucks. Not sure if they put them in any other North American trucks.

How is your Perkins swap going.
I run a 6.0 Perkins Phasser in my 1975 with a Alison 6sp.out of a 06 Chevy Duramax .The 400 turbo will need a very low rpm stall convertor.I had one behind a 5.9 Cummins in my 72 Chevy 2wd didn't like the torq.very much.ended putting a nv4500 in it .got 28mpg then. And would put the hurts to alot of the hotrods.I'll try to help all I can.
I'm pulling the Perkins and Alison out of the 75 and putting it in a 05 superduty 550.
