i think I figured it out, since I didn't get all of the pieces the previous owner promised, I bought a used oil line for the turbo. What I didn't know, was the oil restrictor was missing. Had 80 psi oil pressure before, now with the turbo, it dropped to 30. Installed a valve on the line, adjusted it to where the engine was holding 60 psi, now engine shuts down. Oil must have been pushing past the seals on the turbo, and burning keeping the engine running. It shuts down now.

Found the correct parts off another Benz. Everything is ready to drop in the Jeep now! I did find a flaw in Bendtsons transmission adapter, the starter drive is too close to the flywheel, and occasionally hits. Spaced it back 1/8", works fine now. Now to fabricate the motor mounts and set it in!

I have a set of non-EGR manifolds available.

Already deleted the egr. Need to get back to working on it. Moved it to another shed a couple of weeks ago to make room in my shop. Fired right up before I moved it. Too many irons in the fire right now

I mean a set of turbo manifolds from 1979 without the EGR castings.
