I can verify that with 33"x12.5" tires the jeep will not maintain 65mph easily....
Back to the 31"....

Are the engine side motor mounts you made different lengths? Do you have any photos of them installed in the Cherokee?

One is shorter than the other, don't remember which side though. The mounts are pretty covered up installed anything your looking for specifically?

The mount surface is also angled on the long arm side of the block hence the slightly bent mount arm.

I'm not really sure what specifically I am wanting to see. I guess I was wondering about the different lengths and how necessary that feature was. Also wondering about the angle of the stock motor mount arms and how necessary it is to maintain that angle.

The mounts attach to the engine staggered, the right side arm mounts to the engine more forward and because the engine is wider in that area requires a shorter mount to make up for it. I will try to take some pics for you of the mounts installed.

I problem has presented itself, I noticed that the engine feels like its starving for fuel and stutters at idle and full load/throttle. Also noticed that the return line doesn't oscillate like it used to. Bottom line there's 75% air in my clear inline fuel filter when I throttle up fuel is drawn into the fuel filter mixed with large air bubbles, so I'm thinking I've got an air leak in my fuel line, or.....my lift pump is failing? Ordered a lift pump rebuild kit for $10 and I'm going to replace the fuel lines all the way back to the tank. Any ideas? please chime in?

Does the problem happen all the time or after it has run for a while. What is the distance on the inside of your tank from the pickup to the return. Some people have had problems with the return fuel aerating the fuel causing air in the system even if there are no air leaks. your symptoms are also classic dirty fuel filter symptoms. I would change the fuel filter before AI rebuilt the lift pump.
Also there is a upgrade all metal lift pump available on peachparts somewhere, I could not find it quickly, but I know they have it

NAPA sells the primer pump. Part Number: ATM 0000908850
Under $20.00 my way (Fl.) I have found the local auto parts stores carry more than you would think for the OM617.XXX engines etc., the local MB dealer too. Some of the online places are astronomically priced so it pays to shop.

Found the problem! I ran new fuel lines all the way back to the tank and it was still sucking bubbles so I knew it have to be the pickup. Pulled the pickup and fount that the short black hose between the filter and the plastic thing above it was sucking in the air, replaced the filter with metal tubing and hose clamped the little hose. No more leak! Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Thanks for the great thread. I'm doing this swap into a "95 xj that came with the VM 2.5 Turbo Diesel from the factory. Ive learned a considerable amount from your posts, and hope to start a thread about my conversion soon. I've removed the Mercedes A/C, and need to figure out a solution, so maybe someone will know about a kit that works.
