I thought about the screen thing but then I figured it's no different than the radiator or Ac condenser. Not sure on milage yet.

Can someone explain these results to me? They seem almost to good to be true. The picture above is my average run. The best pull ofthe session was 148.6hp and 450tq. I was not expecting these results, I was expecting more HP and less TQ. All pulls were in 4th gear non-lockup with electric fans on high (70amp draw).

Maybe the #'s were skewed because you weren't locked up, the converter was multiplying the torque. Basically you were trading hp for tq.

Thats what I'm guessing. I need to find a different dyno shop. But still not bad for 4th gear I think.

what is the 4th gear ratio in the 700r4? my dyno guy suggested / wanted to do the run at a 1.1 trans ratio gear. and I did not take the advice, and pulled in 3rd gear which is 1.44 for me. the dyno guy said he could compensate for the gear, but I am not sure how. my results seemed low at 1.44 ratio, maybe yours went the other way. I keep meaning to go back to my dyno , but it is a 400 mile trip.
good to see you are running it .

to the best of my knowledge diesels always have higher torque. my 2004 cummins for example has 325hp and 650ft/lbs of torque stock...... that jeep looks sick as **** tho you've done a badass job on it

An amazing and inspirational build......Still. I have yet to stop poaching your ideas! Do you have any details/photos of your intake manifold? Would like to know how swapping ends went for you.

Thank you for the kind words.
I should make no difference wether you feed the air from the forward part of the manifold or the rear. I believe intake design matters very little on forced induction motors just as long as the path is as short as possible.

I pulled this load the other day for about 25 miles. It did it but I'm not gonna say it liked it. I'd guess it to weigh 5,500lbs, 60mph was not an issue 65mph was. At 65mph it just felt like it was in the boost too much, egt's remained stable at 1150*. Water temp stabilized between 220-225*, I believe it had enough torque to utilize lockup and this would have helped alot. I did pull the entire time however at 65mph, I just feel 16-18psi continuous is just too much, it does show how efficient the top mount intercooler is though.
