Have you done any modifications to the engine? Injectors, timing water injection? I'm going to rebuild my om617 and do everything possible to squeeze as much power out of as possible.

Replaced everything where the red line is with hard metal line.

Advanced timing ever so slightly but ONLY after everything else was checked and in perfect condition ie timing chain, fuel system, turbo, waste gate, valve adjustment. No one has had good results on these engines with methanol/water inject, the bottle neck is at the delivery valves.

Damn that sucks. So higher gears willallow me to do 75 80 on the high way? I want the rpms to be pretty low while I'm cruising like 2000. What ac compressor are u using and what bracket?

DO NOT fall into this "its a diesel it needs low rpm" mindset... This is the main reason people hate this conversion. Do the homework and you will be more than happy in the end. This engine is a short stroke indirect injection high rpm engine. Its cruising sweet spot is 2500-2700rpm. In the 300d it cruises at 70mph 3450 rpm all day every day for 300k while delivering excellent mileage, as it was designed. I can't say this enough, stay as close to the factory rpm/mph design. 2750rpm is my current 70mph, and I wish it were 2750 at 65mph. This engine doesn't even produce boost until 2000rpm.
I
I used a Sanden 510 because thats what I had lying around.

This bracket will not work but the design is simular. Your bracket will need to be higher and tighter to the block. http://www.klimakit.com/product/w123-sanden-sd-ac-compressor-upgrade-kit/

I didn't know it was supposed to run that high. I'm used to big semis not supposed to go over 2250 max. What gears are u running? Yea I'll definitely have to figure out the ac system it's to hot down here with out it. Have u gotten any more mileage numbers? How big of a drop does the tracbar have to be. I found synergy has a 3.75inch drop pitman arm I think I'm going to go with that and rustys simplified steering setup.

Without looking I'd say I get about 22-23mpg, thats averaging trail rides and driving like a stole it everyday. I'd guess about 23-24 on the highway. I'll have the new numbers soon. Beware of anyone stating mileage numbers tank to tank as this a ridiculously inaccurate way to measure.

Track bar and drop bracket came from iron rock offroad for a 4. 5" lift. I straightened the track bar with the torch. Pitman arm is rough country, largest they had.
