Considering a cummins swap in my 95 K2500
Hey all, I've been reading into Cummins conversions for a long time. I have some automotive experience, took small engine repair, basic and advanced auto repair in highschool and work at the Sears auto center as a Tech 1. It ain't much but i have some hands on. I'm considering a Cummins 6bt swap in my 1995 Chevy K2500. It has the 6.5 in it so the suspension should be beefy enough for a Cummins am I correct? Its currently running a 4l80e auto trans which seems to be sturdy enough from what I've been reading if i'm not building it for a ton of horse power and torque. What type of modifications should I expect to face if I decide to tackle the project? I'm currently out of work for a month or 2 at least, so I have time. Are there any build threads around close to what i'm attempting to do? Pictures are always a huge help.

I've heard of a couple people doing this. I'm pretty sure you'll have to beef up that front end. I'd start there. After that I'm not really sure what you should expect but I'm Definitly going to keep an eye on you're progress if you keep sharing it in this thread.
