I am sorry but that made no sense?

This thread is about the Kubota V2203 DI installation into a Ford Ranger.

Well...... After a days worth of testing I can hit 20lbs of boost in 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th but 5th can only get up to about 15..... 72 or so is my top speed if I had to guess and I yet again melted a pvc intercooler pipe. Why am I having problems I just don't get it?

Get Aluminum or Stainless steel tubing. cxracing.com: 3" Aluminum Pipe

If you melt that and the silicone plumbing you have some real problems.

How much smoke are you getting? What rear gear does your truck have?

Not sure why your not getting top end power, is your fuel filter clean? Do you have a stout governor spring? What RPM will it turn sitting still unloaded? Do you have good airflow through your intercooler, any restrictions? I know in 5th your going to have more volume flowing through the engine.

Fuel filter is a few weeks old so I cant see it being bad again..... Not sure what governer spring I have in it. Guy I bought it from said he changed it already. My Rpm guage is being wacky.... It shows that it can turn 4000Rpm but I do not believe that. That's unloaded sitting still. Airflow should be pretty good id say. I have 2 sharp 90's that are going to be changed this weekend but I don't forsee that being the problem either.... Running no airfilter in a clean area doesn't seem to make a difference either.
