Default HELP! TRUCK DIED

Well this SUCKS. I just installed my edge comp and stealth Cover.

I have a newer VP44 From Farmboysdiesel, Fass 150/150. My gauge wasnt working but i should have been around 15PSI WOT.

I floored it down the road and then all of a sudden i looked down and the rpms were at 0. Tried to start the truck again, and it wouldnt start, tried to bump it over around 3 times and it still wouldnt start, shot it with ether, wouldnt start. It runs off the ether for a good 10 seconds, and then just dies. Its clearly just not getting fuel.

Its 20* here and i use cold flow and everything in the tanks so the fuel shouldnt be gelled. I tried to bump the fass once more after i got towed back here by my friend *which was a ford by the way, SAD SAD DAY* but the fass didnt even turn on, I checked the fuse and everything was good.

I NEED HELP IM AT COLLEGE AND HAVE NO CAR NOW! What the hell am i supposed to do!

Luckly everything, fass and VP i still have warrenty.

CODES: 1693 Companion Code, And CEL IS ON!

first thing i'd check would be are you getting power to the fass?

Yeah...we need to check for power. if you don’t have power, you need to trace up the harness to see why its not kicking on. Our harness is a slave to the ECM...so it does what it says to do.

BUT sometimes after a truck dies, the ECM will keep the lift pump from running....so the bump trick will not work. You have to let it sit for a little bit and then after a while it should go back to normal.....

Go easy on the happy fun spray......

Here is a Schematic of our harness to help you out:

well i have a few updates, I cracked the lines, nothing came out, cracked the nut on the VP, it trickeled out, took the line off the fass, didnt get to do the 5 gallon trick *this was after i let it sit, and the Fass was working again* and turned the key, didnt even bump the starter but had a damn good puddle on the ground, so the fass is working *that was in like 2 seconds*. Over on Cumminsforum DPSolution has me convinced that its the VP head Locked up and i seized the Pump. Looks like i get to take the pump off, make it look like nothing was ever on there, Send it off and get a new one! I get install for dirt cheap from DPSolution. I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST HIM if you are in INDIANA. 120 buck out with the old in with the new.
