6.9 p1689
Have 2000 6.9 with about 200k. started little slow a couple times then quot starting. P1689 and P1689pd . diesel Supply not running,but wifll if i wire it straight to battery . Has power at pigtails plug tithe pump until I plug it in. Actron cp9125 scanner. Any ideas???

P1689 - No Communication Between ECM and Injection Pump Module Data link circuit failure between ECM and fuel injection pump. Low power, engine derated, or engine stops.
check your fuel pump relay by replacing it with a new one....
