Default No Reverse

Hello i have a 1998 dodge ram 2500 12 valve with a stock automatic trans.
The other day i went out to leave school and it would not go into reverse. When i put it in reverse in does not go anywhere but when i put in neutral it will drive forward same with drive 1st and 2nd. When i have it in reverse it does not free rev it revs like the torque converter is engaged. Same with park it revs the same way reverse does. Thanks for your help

I would say u slipped the forward clutches so bad they welded themselves together. It's basically in first gear even without any pressure so even park or neutral it try's to go. The forward clutches have to release in order to back up and since they can't it's a no go. It will require the trans to be pulled out and rebuilt.
