im located in Pike County, Kentucky.

and the truck is at the dealers, i am going tomorrow to see what they have to do. i went today but i was too late the guy left 5 minutes before i went there. they already replaced the wires and everything, but now they need a computer reflash.. i will let you guys know what else they find tomorrow, because im sure they will "find" other things wrong with it... i shouldve fixed this issue by myself.. i may not know much, but i can take a turbo apart and inspect it and glow plugs.. it is my fault for getting screwed this bad..

does anybody know the estimated price of a computer reflash? and after this i will just work on it myself if there is anything else wrong.. had to sell my guitar to pay the last bill...

My guess is an hours worth of labor for a reflash, so probably $100.

Im gettin the runaround here... Heres the latest news as of 5 minutes ago.. The dealership went ahead and replaced the FICM without even askin me so now we are fighting them. This dealership owns every lot in my area and is god-awful. Bunch of crooks as a matter of fact.

I believe i will come throw it on a trailer and drag it home. If the ficm isnt running at the right specs what are the solutions and prices to fix it??? Need help ASAP.. Almost completely out of hay for the horses and this little 4 banger wont do the job properly! :p

You've got quite a few options, all of which are better than having Ford put a new FICM on, since a new one is going to fail just like the last one, at some point. There are many places fixing FICM's now, much cheaper than a new $900 unit from Ford.

I got the truck back yesterday but i notice the sound is different. It doesnt have as much whistle at idle, and the throttle response is a little different. Is this normal from the brand new turbo, or do you think it could be because i was used to the sound of the old one?

Its supposed to be the same exact one

I don't think they make it the same way as the original 03 early 04, they are the whistlers, they look identicle on the outside, think it has something to do with the ring in front of the wheel.
