Oil leaking into coolant??

A diesel engine will run on lube oil so a bad turbo dumping oil in the intake can cause the runaway and it will continue to run at uncontrollable speed until it is out of oil . The only way to stop a runaway diesel is to close the intake with a metal plate or plywood to cut off the air supply or let it run till it blows. I have never seen a case where oil going in the intake cause the glow plugs to go bad. with them out of the engine you can hook them to a battery and see if the get hot. If they do they are not bad.

thank you very much. unfortunately i have to give the turbo back to get my core charge of $350 back, but ill get the glow plugs and hopefully they aren't bad. if they arent, maybe i could sell them fairly easily. they said the turbo was dumping oil on the glow plugs, but if it did that, it would have to just be pouring down the engine uncontrollably, and i would be low on oil wouldnt i? makes sense to me.
because the turbo is in the back hooking to the downpipe of the exhaust, while the glow plug buss is down below the alternator.. wouldnt it just continue past everything and hit the ground also? ive never seen an oil leak since i've had the truck so thats why it kinda shocked me. i wouldve been better off if the truck broke down at home and i couldve disassembled the turbo alone, checked glow plugs, checked the FICM and all that. but being broken down in the parking lot at school was kinda irritating..

oh ok. i thought they meant somehow its dripped onto them or something so i was confused. so if its been getting in the combustion chamber what do i do besides replace the turbo and glow plugs? anything else to tell them to diagnose?

I can see the turbo failing. Just FYI, you can get a used 05-07 stock turbo for ~ $250 on the forums... they're a dime a dozen.
As for the glowplugs, sounds like a complete stretch to me, but glowplugs are only ~$80 new from Ford.

well i already paid for the turbo and new glow plugs, but i will get the old glow plugs back and test them to see if they work.. couldnt keep the turbo. i will post back here in 3-4 days when i get truck back and let u guys know if there are any problems or not

Well learned some news today... Turbo and 4 glow plugs were replaced today. After that, truck still wouldn't fire up. They felt "bad" and cut off 3 more hours of labor charges..
Here's the "bad news" that they found. Apparently the injectors still wouldn't fire, (which sounds like a simple FICM problem as stated before..)
Want to know what was stated? Apparently they found a stinking rats nest in my truck???and a bunch of wires chewed through.. How likely is it that rats rode with me to school and chewed the wires while at the same time 4 glow plugs fail, and at the same time, my turbo goes out??
Has anyone ever heard such bull?!?!?
Please excuse my language, I am just highly upset that now my truck is in the dealers hands. Who knows how much those jerks will charge me. I will most likely be out of around $3000 now instead of $2300... Glad to know that most likely an FICM rebuild could've saved this.......

Sounds like they don't know what they're doing and they're almost admitting to it by cutting hours of labor off...
There are ways to get this resolved sure, but there's not much you can do or not much we can help you with if it's sitting on the dealers lot right?
Do you plan to go pick it up and fix it yourself? I'm sure we could help you then. I'm not sure what we can do to help you at this point if you don't even have the truck...

You can find complete used harnesses on ebay for alot less and do it yourself, if you don't have a garage build yourself a tent over it and get some friends and go to work, with a little help from here you can diagnose this better than the dealer.
