02 Powerstroke front brakes not releasing
#12
Wow! I took a look at the pins and the holes that go into them and decided to replace the whole caliper on each side. with rust in the pin holes and the bellows on the pistons looking pretty bad, total replacement seems the best route to take. Had to be ordered, so get them tomorrow. Will post the outcome tomorrow. The hoses looked good and still flexible. With the pistons depressed, the new pads were not hard to put on but not any large amount of slack. Thanks again, this is a real help on something I'm not an expert in

12/31 up and running. bit the bullet and put on all new calipers, pads. I don't know for sure but I will always think that the old pins were not moving right and there could have been some rust inside the pistons.(the piston boots looked bad and may have had some holes that let moisture in) Many thanks to Wild Bill, Red Rattler, MX02 and Mysterync!!!!Now that the rig is in good shape and due to the new crap that they put on the roads for ice, I'm putting this thing on the market while there is still some value to itl. Thanks again!
