Hey guys,
I have a 2003 f-250 6.0 and ive had some issues recently were my truck is throwing a code for an EGR problem. I bought the EGR delete kit and am currently installing it. When my truck started malfunctioning it lost majority of its power and it quit blowing black smoke. The only mod i have is a bully dog triple dog tune. The question i have is if my EGR went out would it cause my truck to stop blowing black smoke and lose its power? The power loss is very dramatic it feels as if the truck is almost stock again. So will the EGR delete fix my problem or did i just waste my money? Quick insight would be very helpful

 

I don't know for sure but I would say if the EGR cooler went out it will effect performance. I would think the delete kit would help you out.
