I hate this POS with a passion sometimes. Got it running checked it with the scanner for codes and nothing. Shut it off it started so I drove it out the rode, shut it off and nothing. Finally got it fired up and took her home, shut it down checked codes and low and behold I get the 0216 code. Man I just cant catch a damn brake anymore. So this will make number 3 on the truck after trying another pump we had laying around and nothing. So now I get to take another pump off and send it over to be replaced. I swear I'll never buy another VP44 equiped truck again as long as I live.

Ok I'm really about to pull my dang hair out. I put a check valve in the supply line after the lift pump becuase my system is loosing prime, it stoped the Lift pump from bleeding off but I'm still not right. I can clamp off the line from lift pump to VP44 and it will keep preasure built. Now I'm loosing preasure threw either the Vp or the return line. I'm going to plug the return line and see if that lets the pump hold preasure to see if it is the pump or return. Anyone else ever had this much problems with one?

Ya I have. My truck was dead for over a month. Start it up and it had pressure, run it for a few miles and the pressure would die. We eventually stripped everything that touched fuel out of the truck and rebuilt the whole system piece by piece. I'm talkin tank, lines all the pumps, everything came out.

Are you still running the stock return lines. from the VP44 back to the tank.
