Default Duramax died

I own a 06 Durmax with 55000 miles. Maintained on a regular basis, the other day I got out with truck running to hook up my dump trailer and the engine just died. I did get fuel earlier in the day. Now the truck just will not start, cranks over just fine but will not start. Any suggestions or recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

The fuel filter has only probably 5-6k miles on it but it has been in for about a year. Truck has sat a lot this last year that I have been working out of town. I am following your thread now to replace the fuel filter. Could this be as easy as a clogged filter?

Thank you for showing an interest and helping out a newbie.

Just wanted to post a quick note to thank you for your help. I was able to change the fuel filter and once primed it started on the second try.

Again, thank you for your help and tech article.
