Default Need urgent help. 6.5 GM Diesel 96-99, will not start, fuel delivery issue.

Hi guys/ gals. I'm from TX and this is my first Diesel Truck and am having tons of fun problems with it. I have owned TDI VW cars before and trouble shoot the hell out of them but this truck is just kicking my rump!

Truck Info:
2004 Chevy Workhorse
Same engine as a 96-99 6.5 GM Naturally Aspirated motor.

Problem: Truck wouldn't start back up after making a pit stop to grab some grub in the middle of the day.

Things I've done so far: Replaced the injection pump with a brand new unit along with the PMD. I have not changed the lift pump nor checked/ bypassed the oil pressure sender unit simply because with a good new tested injector pump the truck should atleast start which it's not doing.

General trouble shooting: I have verified that there is infact fuel pressure present after the lift pump but not after the injector pump. The fuel lines to the injectors are completely dry so it is infact a fuel delivery failure. I'm going to be monkeying around with it all day today so if anyone can lend a helping e-hand... it would be much appreciated!

BTW... the ECM is not throwing any OBD II codes.

HEEELP!

EDIT: The injector pump is not getting a solid positive to pump the diesel. Does anyone know what controls the positive to the IP??

open the bleeder valve, crank the motor over and see if any fuel come out, this is to check your lift pump.

this also could be do to an electrical problem, check the amps going to your fuel relay.

good luck
