1995 7.3L Won't Run Right.

I got back from the shop with my truck. It ran perfect all the way home, about 50 miles. Then it started again ... Talked to the shop and they said to bring it to them tommorrow. They said they are going to try the Throttle Positioning Sensor. They have no codes popping up, so they are kind of stumped. They said they might have to pull the Injectors out and inspect the o-rings ect. I mentioned the TPS before when you guys mentioned it to me. But there were no codes. Oh well hopefully someday I will be driving again. LOL Thanks again for everyones help and advice. I appreciate it . I will keep everyone informed.

I was just wondering something. Is it possible that the Throttle Positioning sensor could be faulty, but yet not throw the code???

We've had 2 in the shop now with the same symptoms, one was a tps , the other was the ECM Harness where it goes through the firewall at the steering colum. You could kill the truck with a slight tap from a Long Screw driver. A little clean up and some dielectric grease and it was good as new!

Well I phoned the shop and they said they wouldn't have the TPS in until tommorrow. I phoned around and found one and decided to go get it and put it in. I limped my way to the city and barely making it to the parts store. (stalling and restarting at the lights). I bought the part and went outside to install i and it was different . I took them both in and they tried to find the proper one, but couldn't. The part # wasn't even in there book. So I limped it to the shop and they coded it right away and came up with the ICP valve , again. They put one in and it is still doing it. When they coded it the pressure was a fixed 725 psi. This had me stumped. But I did some digging and found out that that usually means the ICP sensor is malfunctioning. I printed out all the information I found and am going back to the shop tommorrow to get them to take out hter $550.00 part and fix my truck. Anyone have any more ideas?

I know I should listen to all the advice from everyone , but I don't have my own shop to do the work in . I have to be careful when and where I rip stuff apart. I don't want to get snow into something, that's why I take it in to get stuff done.

to give ya the idea it might be there??
I am still trying to find something that shows where it is...

Try this...
the trans range sensor is located on the side of the trans , where the shifter linkage is connected, the pcm recieves a signal from it to tell it that it is in park/or nuetral etc. without the correct siganl the pcm doesnt know how to set the idle ,and i would get a ford one

Well, I went to the shop to get the CIP sensor and it ran great. For about 1 hour!!! Then it acted up. I took it to Ford and they finally fixed the problem. They sold me a 2004 F250. LOL

Just so everyone knows what I did to my 1995: HPOP, IPR Valve, ICP sensor, Fuel pump, . Now they have it narrowed down to the wiring. My Pressure was freezing up at 725psi. this means communication problem. I changed the ICP sensor so that leaves me to believe it must be in the wiring? I guess I don't need to know now but when they find out I will let you know. It might help someone out there

Hello. I sold my 95. Never did get it fixed. Thanks for all the help. Very appreciated. Does anyone have any advice about the 2004 6.0L ? I like it so far but would like to know if there are any problems with these trucks or if they are notorious for anything crappy! It is still under warranty so it would be nice if I had an idea what to keep my eye open for. Have a great night. It is -55 celsius with the wind chill and a blizzard. Not very nice to work in that is for sure. Brrrrrr!!!!
