Default HELP Cummins NT855G1

Hi,

I have an NT855G1 engine driving a generator. Lately once in a while the fuel pump gives a clicking sound when I am about to start the engine. What gives!!

TIA

Zeb

Yes, the injector pump. The actuator on the pump oscillates rapidly between the two extreme positions. I opened it up and found that the clicking sound is because of a LIMITING PIN striking against the extreme positions.

Please help.

Regards
