Default opinions please

ok to start off im sorry for all the gasser questions but as an 18 year old high school kid making 9 bucks an hour cleanin toilets its all i can afford. so until i get out of high school and diesel school i have to keep the gasser goin then once i get a real job i can get a duramax. you guys are the only ones i trust to ask questions too because all of you guys have a knowledge of all trucks that is a force to be recloned with. so thank you

ok so i have a 2002 gmc sierra 1500 with 212000 miles. it has the original tranny and it shifts pretty good. now the tranny fluid looks dark reddish brownish. my options are
a. leave it alone and pray
b. put additive in
c. flush it
d. do a drain and fill
tell me what ya think thanks

I would probly just leave it.
I never changed the fluid or filters on my transmission. I have been told that if you haven't serviced your tranny before at regular intervals, now is not the time to start. My 1997 f150 with a e4od has 192000 miles on it and was never serviced.

Just my 2 cents. I'm sure some one more knowledgable then me will chime in.

Good luck with what ever you do.

def dont flush it, if you have to do something a filter and fluid wont kill it. But if it shifts good and doesnt slip I'd roll with it. Bont be like me when I was 18 and doin burnouts and being hard on it all because of a girl it had 178k on it and was perfect untill that 3 weeks of hell I gave it, but the girl loved every min of it... So basically drive it like you want it to last and save some cah
