2007 Dodge Cummins, No Rail Pressure While Cranking, Not Starting
#11
With the recent state of these events I would caution the following:
1. Dodge will not do any oil analysis unless directed by corporate. Having 6-8 psi on a CP3 is very normal and acceptable pressures.
2. Yes, but Dodge will be very relucant to do this. Seldom to they pull and test injectors (again corporate must approve) and if you take them to an injection shop and expect that Dodge will cover after said service, you are pushing water up hill.
I am not trying to be negative but they are difficult to get to do real work on the injection system on these trucks. Most dealerships may not even have a qualified diesel technician which should scare you and you should prepare yourself with all the information you can get before attempting to state your case. This may take a while so be very patient and stand firm.
Good luck.

those relief valves are hard seated and should be good for maybe 3-4 lifts max then they are done......a soft seated (teflon or polymere) would stand alot more abuse

the duramax's have the same thing but they dont seem to wear out as easy, friend of mine was popping his 4 or 5 times a day running some big GOOFY EFI Live smoke tune, it would drain his rail and cause the valve to pop from low pressure, i know you can get a plug that replaces the valve on a duramax, we switched his at the Lebanon pull this year so he wouldnt stall 1/2 way through the pull.....
