Default Truck Just Died And Won't Start P1689

I was cruising through a parking lot and the truck just sputtered and died. I have P1693 and P1689 codes. I looked them up in the Smarty manual and they are: P1693; DTC cleared in companion JTEC module. P1689; No comm between ECM and injection pump module. Please help me! The truck is down the street in a daycare parking lot!!!

1693 is a companion code its just saying you have codes ,

Clear codes Un hook your batts and shake the wireing harness going into your ecm its right under your fuel filer on the engine , reconnect your batts Check for codes

Sounds like an electrical connection like DM said above.... What mods other than the Smarty do you have?

I plugged and unplugged the IP connector, removed the Comp from the picture, and disconnected the batteries for 30 minutes. Comp has been in EZ mode, BTW, wire not tapped. No change. I do not have a Smarty. Just the codes section of the manual. I had to rent a code scanner from Auto Zone. Other mods in sig.

I got it started after a few cranking sessions and drove the mile back to school. It acted like it cut off for a second on the way back, and I still have the codes. When it started at first it coughed and sputtered. Then halfway back it sputtered again.

The filter is a new Fleetguard that was installed 2 weeks ago. I guess it could be plugged. But why the code if it is just a clogged filter? I cannot get the codes to clear either.
