hi guys,

i need to change the oil pump in my work's 1999 delivery truck with a 5.9 in it, and i can't find any info online on how to do this, and if there is anything i need to look for as far as the fuel pump, timing, and such.

can anyone here give me a crash course on how to do this?

we changed the oil pan gasket and found like 20 little pieces of cast iron and a washer broken in 4 pieces and one of the cast iron pieces is a number 8. we took it to Cummings and they said it looks like pieces of oil pump and the motor has like 5-10 lb
a tech says the washer looks like a piece of the bypass valve from the oil pump
