Default No first gear?

Yesterday all was fine. Today no first gear, what's up? Fluid and all is good just changed all and has been changed on a 7500 to 10000 mile schedule. Everything else is good just no first gear. Band adjustment, maybe, or a new tranny. HELP ouch!!!!!!!

No, that's the strange thing. I thought the E brake was on. Drove to Houston and back,170 miles one way, with no problems but just no 1st gear. This is crazy the dang thing runs great once it gets going all shifts are as normal whats up.

If you put in manual low is first gear there. If so it sounds like a governor pressure sensor and transducer are bad.

I'd get a scan tool on it and see if the gov pressure reads anything with key on egine off.
It could also be an issue with the manual valve in the vlave body.
