OK, I have a 5spd in my truck, and when I let the clutch out after shifting up, 80% of the time there is a rattle noise. This noise also happens if I let off the gas at lower RPM's and coast for a little bit. Any ideas?

I got under the truck and checked everything out and they all seemed fine, it sounds like something is wrapped around the driveline, but I cant find anything.

Update: The noise is coming from under the truck, not engine compartment, I have got that far. Like I said before, while taking off, there is a small click sound, then it sounds like something is wrapping around the axle, then when I get up to speed it goes away. When I left off and get into the lower RPM's, there is a rattle noise for a couple seconds, sounds like metal on metal, then it goes away. I have searched my truck bumper to bumper under neath and can not find the issue.

 

Can anyone recommend a shop in Houston area to get my truck checked out?

 

Id check u joints, shocks, sway bar links, ect

 

Put your truck on Jack stands and have a friend walk under/around truck while driving to listen for it?

I have checked for play in the ujoints and didn't feel anything. Could they still bed bad?
Also, don't havejack stands or anywhere to do that at it I did.

 

100 bucks says heat shield check that out on the exhaust or up by the fire wall by the back of the exhaust
