change the lift pump but you allready got a fass.....this is why you really really need to check the pressure

they say the problem is really the vp. most of the times i have seen this was after lift pump was replaced and not the vp. back on the pump not running while cranking, i dont think you can starve the pump and hurt it for a sec while the truck is cranking.

my pump guy told me that it wont hurt them to start them with no pressure that the mechanical lift pump inside the injection pump will provide enough fuel as long as its at idle

you can see if that is in fact what the problem is by unplugging the pump and seeing if it starts easier

ill have to try in the morning, cause it was just running and once it starts it will fire up without any hesitation, which makes me wonder if it is the pressure on the diapragm of the vp44, causing this or not.

pulled out fuse on lift pump she fired like she used too,my thought was to run an interrupter switch to red line on relay, hold in while cranking let go on fire up,shell automatically release i might wait til my pressure gauge gets here to see how long pressure cuts out for and if it pulls back up right away, any reason why once it has run for even a minute it is unnessary to have to cut out pressure only in sitting situations warmer weather usually ?
