Dead VP44? Help before I order new pump
#13
Alright, it started!
Cracking the injectors must have done the trick along with some cranking.
I now am done trusting my fuel gauge because it showed it having over 1/8 a tank line when this all started.
Thanks for the help because I probably would have just had it towed over to a shop and they might have convinced me it needed a new pump and I would have probably agreed.
I feel much better knowing I am not going to have to buy a new pump this week!
Thanks again.

That's really good news! If/when you go to change your fuel sender, remove the box to do so. I have accessed mine both ways, removing the box and dropping the tank, and pulling the box off is WAAYYY easier. Despite the size and weight, it goes much smoother. If you have some mods already done, or plan to int he future, I suggest a Liberty Fuel Sender from Vulcan. New sender with a draw straw V already installed!
