hey all i got a 1991 f250 with a e4od last week i lost overdrive so i brought it to 2 different tranny places and both said it was bad 4th cluch plates. well i went home and decided to do the kiss method i checked the oil level and was way too high so dumb *** me changed the fluid. now it slips in all gears but reverse. i guess my options are sell the truck and find a new one or park the truck and find a new car for work and back or to put a tranny from the junkyard in or pay the 700 bucks for the tranny repairs. any suggestions?

 

pay the 700 for repairs, I'm not a fan of junkyard/ trannys unless I know the person it came from or im gonna get it rebuilt any way. Yer not gonna find a decent work car for 700 that might not put you on the side of the road...

 

yaqa i justsent it to the shop ill see what happens with it hopefully the whole thing is not toast
