I'm at the dealer, gonna have them look at it. Not gonna spend $770 on a new TIPM, and it not be the problem.

I made it home just now from Billings. I got 30 miles from the house when it decided to run like crap again. Only when I was on level ground it would run the last 30 miles. It decided to throw P0146 (HPCR Checksum). It didn't throw any codes Sunday, but yesterday, it threw a fan speed code, and another code I can't remember.

Day before I left Billings, I was uptown, and it threw a code for the injector group one circuit. So with it throwing random codes, am I looking at an ECM, or another set of injectors.

Something is killing juice to my lift pump, now my truck won't start. The P0148 came back again after I cleared it.

Have you checked the wiring by the frame under the AC unit? I don't recall the specifics exactly, but there was a wire that did not have any loom around it and would cause untold amounts of random codes. It was originally posted over on DTR, I'll see if I can't find a link...

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Don't know if you have access to DTR, but here's the thread, and it has a picture of the wire in question.

Hope this helps you out...

OK, IDK, but my lift pump will not kick in. I let it sit Sunday for a half hour, and it came out of it. Now, it won't even try and kick in. I'm about to let this thing go back to the dealer. Of course I'll have to work out some sort of deal with the bank.

Crap - just seen this now. I was about 4 miles away from Rocky Mountain Cummins.

I know a mechanic at Lithia might have been able to help.

You'd a wondered where I was at, cause I didn't realize at the time I was at Interstate Truck/Power Systems.

I seen Bob Schwartz. He was unable to replicate the symptoms. It's weird, it threw a P2146 last week, but came out of it. Monday, I get a P0483 fan speed code and a P0463 fuel level sensor high (probably from unplugging the module w/ the key on). Today I get a P0148 code, and now all hell broke loose.

So I went out a couple minutes ago to reconnect the batteries, and no lift pump. Brand new and it didn't last a week yet. I still have the old one, and I guess I will see if it's the problem later today.

This is driving me bat . Went out just a few minutes ago, and the lift pump magically started working. Will let ya know how a SHORT road test goes.

BTW, I got it going in next Monday to see WTF is going on.
