Default Duramax not Driving

I just bought my truck in Florida on Saturday. I drove it 700 miles to North Carolina and my check engine light is on. I got it scanned and got a code p0652. Autozone was unable to give any further informatoin. When I push the gas the truck doesn't do anything no RPM increase or anything. If I turn the truck off for 30 mins and restart it works for a couple hours or so any advice I can't take it back to florida anytime soon.

duramax dtc#p0652 powertrain snsor ref. voltage low.
There is a TSB on this issue that suggests inspecting the wiring at the VPS (Vane Position Sensor). The VPS wire lead may rub
on the inside of the Engine Cover (Doghouse). If a chafe has been found repair the wiring. Adjust engine cover/insulate wiring as needed.
