Default Replaced head gasket, Now weird squeel

I replaced my headgasket and did headstuds on my 97 last night, and we wrapped it up this morning. When I went to start it, the is a loud squeeling noise which seems to be coming from the driver side of the engine. All the rockers are moving when I crank but I don't want to turn it over while their is that squeak because the last thing I need is to damage something. I also tried turning the engine over with the alternator nut and all it is doing is slipping the belt and nothing is turning. But when I try starting it, it's the complete opposite. I would really like to get this fixed ASAP so I can drive my truck again

sounds like you have a compression leak did you mess up the gasket somehow or you got the valves way to tight

The gasket is good, I know that. I'll try adjusting the valves. I know when I was doing the pushrods, a few of them gave me some trouble but I didn't force them and they eventually went in

Was there anything wet under the hood when you tried to start the truck? I swear it looked like a few drops of water shot out on the turbo side of the motor on the first crank.

i think the valves are to tight, but I haven't got to check it out yet. The spray was from my injector tube. It was still loosened from bleeding the lines
