Replaced head gasket, Now weird squeel
I replaced my headgasket and did headstuds on my 97 last night, and we wrapped it up this morning. When I went to start it, the is a loud squeeling noise which seems to be coming from the driver side of the engine. All the rockers are moving when I crank but I don't want to turn it over while their is that squeak because the last thing I need is to damage something. I also tried turning the engine over with the alternator nut and all it is doing is slipping the belt and nothing is turning. But when I try starting it, it's the complete opposite. I would really like to get this fixed ASAP so I can drive my truck again
i haven't started it up yet, just because that squeel and I don't want to mess the enigine up. I'll upload a video of it here in a minute so you guys can hear what it sounds like
The gasket is good, I know that. I'll try adjusting the valves. I know when I was doing the pushrods, a few of them gave me some trouble but I didn't force them and they eventually went in
