Cummins wont turnover.
The truck made it fine from NC to CO. Didnt have any problems. Pulled in the driveway and shut it off. Went to start it to move her and nothing. Its acting like it not recognizing that the clutch is engaged. I have plenty of juice and im getting power to the starter but its acting like i dont have the clutch pushed in. Is there a sensor or something that tells the computer the clutch is in? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Made it home on leave now i dont have any thing to drive.

have you tried to use something like a jumper wire to jump the starter solenoid? I would try that because if you get nothing then i would go for a starter otherwise you can override the clutch switch with a wire also and try it.
I know to some people this sounds like a bad idea but by bypassing stuff once and a while you can figure out what part of the equation is not working or malfunctioning.
On another note make sure when doing either of these methods be sure to have it out of gear on a level surface if possible and parking brake on.
Good luck

ok i was going through the fuses and the 20 amp for the starter was popped. swapt in a new one and it popped that one. the starter did try to turn over. Is something shorting it out?

Swap the starter relay with something like the horn relay and replace the fuse. Relay could be shot. Next is the starter could be shorting internally or if the contacts are worn the contacts could be trying to pull to much amperage.

ok so i swapped the relays and still nothing. So before i started undoing cables i tossed in a 30 amp instead of a 20 amp for the starter. It wouldnt pop the 30 amp so i kept hitting the ignition to see if it would pop it and it started to try and tunrover. Hit it a few more times and she fired up. Let it run for a little bit and shut it down to make sure she would start again. She fired right back up. Im assuming that since it was real wet when i drove back and we had some pretty big puddles the starter just got real wet. Thanks everyone for thier help. She lives again and now i have something to drive while im home! Thanks guys!
