Default 07 48re problems

Hey guys,

Im back... yup more problems since my last band adjustment two months ago.. well ive been driving my 07 dodge 2500 5.9 with the 48re for two months since my adjust of the 1-2 bands...it has benn good since, but the past two days on the highway bou 50-60 mph I've been gettin a vibration in the truck, just had new tires and balancing, cant be that, u jonits fairly new and they are tight, so today it got worse, from take off its good 1,2 but 2-3 it revs out to about 2500 rpms or so then decides to shift... now vibrates from 40-55mph,, but if you floor it at that point it takes off like a rocket and seems to do good after that...but there still is a vibration from 40-55?????? i checked the tranny fluid it its a carmel bronze color with some metal flakes looks like glitter glue from a tube...do you think tranny is goin? can i get away with fluid flush and filter, truck has 74,000 miles on it. i bought it used with 18,000 miles on it two years ago..I need some feedback please....Thank You

with the color of oil and metal flakes the vibration and the shifting points i think you need to start thinking rebuild thats a bummer just my opinion you could change your fluid and filter but i dont think that would get you far

Yeah, based on your description the transmission is gone. I bet the metal has caused issues with the Gov pressure solenoid and thats why its not shifting. You will be looking at a rebuild.
