My friend has an 05 cummins, auto, smarty, 90hp injectors ii towing twins. he drove the truck yesterday morning, ran and started fine, came out later in the evening to go get dinner, and the trucks gauges do not work and the truck will only sit and crank. he tried hooking his code reader up and it says it has no communication.

I am not very good with common rails, i like my old 12v's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yea that explains the no start, but what about the gauges and the diagnostic port...none of the gauges even turn on, and no commiunication to the obd-II port.

we tried un hooking the batteries to maybe reboot something, but still nothing...

well he was messing around with the truck yesterday, turned the key on and started messing with fuses. unplugged the pcm fuse, and plugged it back in and it worked! so now we r thinking something with the pcm?
